HISTORY OF CHLOROS

OUR STORY SO FAR

2008

In 2008, Wastesafe Limited was founded by Managing Director Richard Hurdle who based himself in small gatehouse office in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Richard began trading as an Environment Agency registered waste broker operating with third party transport and waste management facilities.

2009

Sales Director Jason Lee joined Wastesafe and operated in a similar way to Richard. Still Waste brokers, Jason pushed sales where Richard managed the running of the business.

 2010

Addition of a technical specialist and Financial support. This enabled to free up the director’s time and increase the customer base and volume of work.

 2012

Addition of a Scottish Office, led by Director Andrew Sawers. 

 2013

Formation of the partnership between Potter Logistics and Wastesafe Ltd. This, in turn, led to a company name change to Chloros Environmental Ltd. This enabled Chloros to start operating as a waste transfer station within a permitted 4,000 sq ft segregated and bunded warehouse and open our services to new and pre-existing customers. 

 2014

Chloros Environmental increase the size of the located warehousing to cater for the increased volume of work.

 2015

Chloros Environmental investigates new disposal methods and introduces a Transfrontier Shipment which opened our recycling solutions

2017

Rebrand of Company, additional TFS outlet established.

 2019

Chloros invests £1.5 Million into a new 43,000 sq ft Warehouse to create new Headquarters at Hartlebury Trading Estate, Kidderminster; supporting continued and rapid growth, whilst ensuring the firm operates to BAT [Best Available Techniques] for the waste industry.

 2020

Chloros is acquired by Guernsey Recycling (1996) to join the GRG Waste UK group to become one of the largest privately-owned waste management companies in the UK
