Waste Management Plan

As a business, you must deal responsibly with any waste your business produces. This is known as your ‘Duty of Care’ and should form part of your waste management plan or waste management policy.  Business waste includes any waste that comes from:

-      Manufacturing

-      Engineering

-      Construction

-      Distribution

-      Demolition

-      Other industry

-      Agriculture

-      Any commercial activity - including those run from your home

Your duty of care lasts from the moment the waste is produced to when it’s received by a business that is authorised to deal with it. For example, a licensed disposal site such as Chloros Environmental

Chloros Environmental are fully licensed waste management consultants which provides its customers with complete peace of mind for their waste disposal requirements.  For specialist advice regarding your waste management policy, please contact our team on
0845 6041470 or email info@chlorosenvironmental.co.uk

Chloros Environmental can help improve your waste management strategy and environmental performance, by ensuring that as much waste as possible is diverted away from landfill towards recycling and re-use.  We believe in providing effective waste management that reduces your costs and improves your environmental performance.  We deal directly with other businesses and also act on behalf of other waste management consultants, waste brokers, and facility management companies

Construction projects over £300,000 in England must have a waste management plan

The waste management plan, or site waste management plan (SWMP) must include

-       What kind of waste your site produces

-       How you dispose of the waste (ie reuse, recycle, landfill)

-       If you use one, who your waste management consultant is

-       Evidence of your waste planning and waste disposal policy

-       Who your waste carrier is and their registration number

-       The address and environmental permit number of the site where your waste is going

About Chloros Environmental

Chloros Environmental was established in 2009 by founding directors Richard Hurdle and Jason Lee.  Originally known as Wastesafe Ltd, we have become one of Britains fastest growing hazardous waste management and waste recycling companies with nationwide coverage in England, Wales, and Scotland.  A joint venture launched with Potter Logistics enabled us to open a brand new fully licensed transfer facility in the West Midlands.  In 2013 we decided to rebrand the company to reflect this rapid growth into new markets.  We continue to provide an exceptional service to our customers and deliver ethical sustainable waste management services with a strong emphasis on diverting waste away from landfill and towards recycling routes.  At Chloros Environmental we treat our customers, their waste, and the environment with care.
